In the island of Tarout, a 25-year-old woman was caught driving her father’s car before sunrise. In addition to impounding the car, a fine of SR 900 was levied on the father.
The police later let the father and daughter go after they submitted a statement assuring that the offence would not be repeated.
In a similar incident about two months back, the traffic authorities held a girl and her brother after the girl was spotted driving a car while accompanied by her brother in the district Nazareth Qatif. Similar penalties were levied on the siblings by the traffic police.
