Construction workers at King Abdulla Financial DIstrict, Riyadh on strike

Construction workers at “King Abdullah Financial District” in Riyadh went on strike today. According to reports on local media, they appear to be protesting against unpaid salaries, lack of compensation for work-related injuries and unhygienic work conditions.

King Abdullah Financial District is one of the most important projects of the Saudi Public Pension Agency (PPA). Construction has been going strong on the project land in Riyadh on an area of 1.6 million square meters.
