In response to a benevolent gesture by General Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, a Saudi girl whose life is threatened by a serious bone problem has been admitted to a London hospital for treatment. The Crown Prince has offered to pay all the medical expenses.

According to Arabic daily Sabq, when General Mohammed came to know about the girl’s case from their newspaper, he ordered the transfer of 18-year-old Noura to London urgently and offered to pay all expenses for her transport, stay and treatment.

The girl’s brother told the paper that they were contacted by General Mohammed’s office and offered to have his sister treated in any country in the World.

Following medical consultations with local hospitals, Noura was flown to Wellington Hospital in London on Saturday.  At General Mohammed’s instructions,  the UAE embassy, sent representatives and an ambulance to London’s Heathrow airport to receive Noura.

Noura has been suffering most of her life from a condition called bone curvature. Her heart is threatened by the problem and could stop any time if not treated properly.

General Mohammed has promised the girl’s family  that he will bear all costs of her treatment and stay including that of those who are accompanying her. He has even offered to pay any amount needed to secure a medical team for Noura , on their return to Saudi.
