battery from the esophagus of 4-year boyThe doctors at the Children and Maternity Hospital in Medina successfully removed a battery from the esophagus of a 4-year-old boy. The battery was lodged in the boy’s throat six months ago.

A team of doctors led by consultant gastroenterologist, Dr Abdul Karim Al-Yamani operated on the boy following an emergency consultation by Dr Mohammed Al-Rawi at the ER.

The father of the child thanked the medical staff of the hospital for the medical care and attention given to the young boy.
