exit visa for expats on satIndian Consul General Faiz Ahmed Kidwa announced that Passport authorities in Saudi Arabia will begin on Saturday the exit process of all expatriates who wish to leave the Kingdom, ArabNews reported.

Passport authorities will begin accepting travel documents issued by the consulate to put exit stamps for those who wish to leave the Kingdom and do not have original passports.

When the applicant visits the  deportation center with  passport/travel document, his biometric data will be recorded and exit  stamp issued. The exit process will apply  to all expats regardless of nationality.

Kidwai said that biometric data will not hinder any worker from re-entering the Kingdom and that it was not necessary to present an air ticket.

He added that educational degrees for change of professions are not required by the Ministry of Labor except for professional jobs like doctors or engineers. Special kafala (sponsorship) transfer areas have been launched to enable sponsorship change; the service is also available online.

The Labor Ministry provides a password for its Web portal through which individuals may correct their professions without fees. However domestic workers may change their profession through Passport Office only. Links to

Saudi Labor Ministry have also been provided on the

consulate website where expats may check Nitaqat status and job listings.
