The first Law School in Saudi Arabia for female students opened last Sunday at Taibah University in Madinah. The first batch of female students will start classes next term and are expected to graduate in 3 years time.
The graduates will be eligible to work in the Saudi Arabian courts and conduct legal cases such as lawsuits, legal contracts, commercial arbitrations, negotiations and mediations, local media reported. The Law School faculty includes 10 male and 8 female teachers as well as an additional 4 female teachers with degrees in law who will join next term.
The Director of Taibah University, Dr. Adnan Al-Mazrouh, said that this Law school will be one of the first colleges to follow modern teaching methods and approaches including communication with the Chamber of Commerce.
