dubaiMovie-goers in Dubai were in for an unpleasant surprise last Saturday when movie houses canceled the screening of ‘Escape Plan’, reported Akhbaar24.

Movie house officials reportedly reimbursed the audience for the canceled show of the recently released Hollywood movie. The reason for suddenly stopping the movie was because the movie contains obscenities spoken in Arabic which as noticed only during screening. All copies of the movie were withdrawn from and later returned to the movie houses after deleting the uncensored scenes.

Movies that are viewed in the Arab countries are strictly censored to prevent the public from viewing adult content and abusive language. The Hollywood flick was given a PG18 rating and contains foul language in Arabic. The movie, featuring Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger, is about two prisoners trying to escape from jail.
