Saudi princess, Meshael Al Ayban who was arrested in California earlier this year for human trafficking was let off the case after investigations found that the maid’s allegations did not corroborate, reported Gulf News.
A Kenyan maid escaped from the princess’ condominium in July and got help to report against her employer. The princess was arrested following the complaint. She was set free after the Saudi consulate posted USD 5 million as bail.
The maid claimed that the Saudi princess had taken away her passport and forced her to work long hours without adequate wages. The princess and her lawyers, however refuted the maid’s allegations and added that the maid was treated properly.
On Friday prosecutors said that authorities could not substantiate the maid’s allegations on further investigation, and the case against Meshael has been dismissed
