Instead of making a regular announcement about their new fuel cell vehicle, Mercedes thought up a really unique way of promotion- an invisible car !
Mercedes wanted to emphasize that its F-Cell vehicle has no exhaust emissions, making it virtually invisible to the environment. If you look at the amazing video above, you’ll see how they did it: by placing a mat of LEDs across one side of the vehicle and mounting a video-shooting digital SLR camera ( Canon 5D Mark II) on the other side.
The image quality is still imperfect, but the desired effect of “invisibility”, conceived by the developers, is present.
As seen in the video, even though people could tell there was a car going by, they seemed impressed by the “invisible” fuel-cell vehicle.
Mercedes , thus goes to great lengths to create a vehicle with zero emissions and less impact on the environment. It is assumed that these machines will appear on the streets by 2015.
