Deadly MERS virusThe secretary of the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia, Saleh Al-Muwaze’ stated that the MERS virus does not spread via blood.

Al-Muwaze’ said that the virus that caused the dreaded disease does not get transmitted through blood. He also said that the current infection rate is not worrisome. He was talking at a press conference on Monday to reveal the latest updates and details of the disease in the kingdom and also the outcome of the Saudi Health Conference.

According to Al Watan newspaper, the Health secretary said that the kingdom, in collaboration with a French company, is considering establishing a plant for the production of blood products. He added that agreement for the same will be drawn up soon.
