Baby and mother hands1An expectant Filipina gave birth to a healthy baby aboard a Saudi Arabian plane en route to Philippines on Tuesday evening, reported Sabq news.

Five hours into the flight from Jeddah to Manila, Saleema, 27, felt a sharp and sudden pain. She initially ignored it as she was due only in August. However, she called for help when the pain became intolerable. She then went on to deliver a three-kilogram baby girl with the help of a nurse who was on board the flight.

As for naming the new born, the mother overruled a suggestion to name the baby girl ‘Saudia’. The baby is named ‘Victoria’. This is Saleema’s second child. Both mother and child were reportedly doing well in Philippines.
