Prince KhalidPrince Khalid Bin Bandar Bin Abdallaziz has been appointed as the new governor of the Riyadh province by Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz today.

A graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Prince Khalid is the first grandson of Kind Abdel Aziz, the founder of Saudi Arabia. Prince was a high ranking military personal and the commander of the Royal Saudi Land Forces, promoted from Lieutenant – General in 2011.

Turki Bin Abdullah has been appointed as a deputy governor by the king. Earlier this month the king named Majid Abdullah al-Moneef as the new Secretary General of the Saudi High Economic Council. Moneef held positions including Saudi Arabia’s Governor to OPEC, Senior Advisor to the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources prior to the new post.

The king issued order relieving Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdel Aziz al – Tuwaijri, President of Capital Market Authority (CMA), of his post this month. He also appointed Mohammed bun Abdulmalik bin Abdullah al-Sheikh as CMA president at the rank of Minister.
