princewaleedPrince Al-Waleed Bin Talal showed  support for  Saudi women’s right to drive  when he expressed his thoughts on  social media channel “Twitter”.

The Prince tweeted that  Saudi woman Raha Moharrak reached the summit of Mount Everest and Hanadi Zakaria al-Hindi flies a plane, yet women are not allowed to drive in Saudi Arabia.

Hanadi is the 1st female pilot in Saudi Arabia, working at the Kingdom Holding Company. Raha Moharrak hit the headlines few days back after becoming the first Saudi Arabian woman to climb Mount Everest.

Al-Waleed pointed out that a decision made in favour of Saudi women driving will enable the Kingdom to lay off more than half a million expatriate drivers.
