The Labor Office in Riyadh, in cooperation with the Municipality, closed a number of famous international stores including Harvey Nichols, Dominguez, and Aldo in Al Faisaliyah Tower, Riyadh, reported Sabq news.
The stores were closed because they violated several labor regulations, including employment of expat workers instead of Saudi employees and lack of an appropriate work environment for women. Many of these stores did not even have exclusive sections for their women employees that separated them from the men in the shop.
The Labor Office had given prior warnings to these stores, but they did not make amends to comply with the regulations.
