Sabq news reported that one person died and 25 people were wounded during the riots. The deceased, a 16-year-old Sudanese student, was stabbed several times with a sharp object. He was rushed to Al Iman Hospital, but succumbed to his injuries. The official media spokesman for Riyadh Police confirmed the death of the Sudanese youth.
Official reports also revealed that 17 people of various nationalities received minor to moderate injuries. The wounded were transferred to Al Iman Hospital and King Saud Medical City for treatment.
According to witnesses, around 50 vehicles in the area were damaged during the riots that erupted on Wednesday. Some storefronts were also damaged by the rioters. An Al Rajhi bank ATM was also damaged during the violent demonstration. The Police have arrested those responsible for the riots.
