Numerous cars broke down in the streets of Jazan, a port city in Saudi Arabia’s south-western province of Jizan, last Sunday after the vehicles were fueled with adulterated gasoline. The owners of the vehicles that were damaged had filled fuel at a gas station where petrol was mixed with water.
This is the third time such an incident has been reported over the past few weeks in Jazan. A similar case was reported just two weeks ago.
The police are now monitoring gas stations in the area after they received many such complaints from the residents, reported Sabq news. A few months back, another gas station in Jazan had reportedly damaged a number of cars after filling fuel tanks with water instead of fuel.
