Eye witness said the deceased miraculously had their “Sabbabat” (index finger) pointing up, a sign of Shihadah.
A joyous bride’s life was taken away in a devastating tragedy after a deadly accident on the Hafr AlBatin-Dammam road in Saudi Arabia. The accident took the life of a bride in her wedding dress, her mother, little nephew and two sisters.
A huge crowd participated in their funeral -called “The Batin Bride’s Funeral” yesterday after the Duhr Prayer. All that remained of the bride’s possessions were remnants of shattered and painful memories, along with a white wedding dress covered with blood.
Eyewitness Khalid Al-Dayood described the details of the accident wherein a truck tried to overtake another truck and it slipped to the other side of a two-way road , crashing into an oncoming car (GMC, Yukon) on the opposite lane.
Khalid stepped out of his car and heard voices coming from the crashed Yukon. The voices were Quranic verses coming from one of the women’s mobile phone, however he found to his dismay that no one was alive.
Al-Dayood found some gold jewellery, cash, ATM cards and a Quran inside the women’s purses. He also found a passport and a marriage contract. Khalid swore to eyewitnesses that he saw that the deceased miraculously had their “Sabbabat” (index finger) pointing up, a sign of Shihadah.
