The 350-square-meter banner displayed the Saudi flag and pictures of the Saudi king and the crown prince of the kingdom. This year’s banner has broken last year’s records when a 320-square-meter banner was flown, reported Sabq news. The plane that flew the banner took off from Thumamah Airport, which is located about 30 km north of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
Captain Fahd Alzakari from the flying school said that they have plans to flying the banner over various regions of Saudi Arabia. He added that the flying school requires support from tourism and government agencies to create awareness among young people.
The Land and Space Aviation School in Thumamah is the first flying school in Saudi Arabia and is the first flight school accredited by the Arab Union.
