Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice2The kingdom’s religious police stopped a wedding celebration in a park in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, reported online daily Emirates24/7.

The much-feared religious police halted an Egyptian wedding party that was underway in the park because it breached conservative local traditions followed in the country.

According to sources in the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, the bride had not covered her face, and the groom was holding her hands, both of which are a clear violation of the local traditions.
